PROAMÉRICA BANK Zero-Balance Account

The PROAMÉRICA BANK Zero-Balance Account operates like the ultimate Sweep Account, tying one or more individual accounts into one general operating account. At the close of each business day, any funds deposited to an individual account are swept into the general operating account, leaving a zero balance in the individual accounts. Funds accumulated in the operating account may then sweep into an interest-earning account or applied against outstanding balances on your line of credit. Your money earns interest until checks are drawn against the individual accounts, whereupon funds "sweep back" through the operating account to cover the checks.
